Autism Awareness Month
Autism Awareness Campaign - Day 1: FACT: Did you know that Autism is much more common than many people think. There are over half a million people in the UK with autism - up to date statistics now reveal that it affects 1 in 66 children, this time last year it was 1 in 100. It is also 4 times more likely in boys than girls. Autism is a hidden disability - you can't always tell if someone has itTuesday, 29 March 2011
First Toof!!
"LOOK MOMMA, I'VE LOST MY TOOF" Taylor screamed at us ever so proudly when he pulled it out himself! ... We noticed the other day that it was wobbly, but was nowhere near ready to come out. Today on the other hand, he complained on two different ocasions whilst eating of having toothache. I had a look and noticed it was somewhat wobblier than it had been when we last looked, but neglected to tell him that for fear of him trying to pull it out too soon & hurt himself. Looks as though it must have been ready to come out though as there it is...gone!!

Confused
Well, what a shocker that was! ... I can not believe how cruel a child's mind can be. After a very thorough check of Taylor's throat the Doc said he is perfectly fine. His throat is no longer swallen, nor infected & neither has he got anything else wrong with him. Yes the Flu Virus is still lingering but it's all Psychological. His body has convinced itself it's in pain & his brain isn't sending the right signals to tell it other wise, hence still having all the symptoms!
I haven't caught the Flu from him. I have had a relapse, due to not fully recovering from it in the first place. Aparently, though I seemed fine & have felt okay for the past 3 weeks, it never went away, it just led dormant waiting to strike again. The reason it's struck now?? Sleep deprevation, physical and mental exhaustion, anxiety and most of all stress!! All brought on through Taylor being ill. The joys of being a parent eh!? *wouldn't change a damned thing! (except for him being ill)*

Dedication!
Well, day 7 and not only is Taylor STILL poorly (more his throat than anything now) but I have also come down with it too. Woke up this morning soaking wet through from sweat, a banging headache, sore throat & really tight chest. During the course of the day it's all calmed down a bit. My throat hasn't got any better, but I am still able to swallow at the moment, but I just know it's waiting to pounce any minute now.
Went to the Park again with Taylor & Mum this afternoon & had a picnic (well, what bit of it he could eat) then went to Mums house. Within 20mins of being there I suddenly went cold & achey. Checked my temperature & it was 98.3'f. We came back home not long after that as Taylor needed to take his meds & within 10mins of walking through the door my temp shot up to 100.3'f & I am acheing from head to toe. I am so NOT HAPPY right now. I've already had this damned Flu once (5 wk ago) and it downed me for 10 days solid.
Anyway, Taylor is playing on the Wii and I have the sum total of 30 letters to catch up on, so here I am plodding along, when really I should be in bed sulking!!
